Knut,
Are you planning on making your extension open source and if so would you like to combine each others efforts on the project?

The extension will be open source and everyone that want to take a part in the development process will soon be able to do so... Stay tuned for more updates on the forum.

I've started the initial work on a PRADO PHP Extension and created a seperate Trac environment and Subversion repository for it. Trac environment: http://trac.pradosoft.com/extensionSubversion repository: http://svn.pradosoft.com/repos/extensionCurrently there's only the basics and a few minor tests, but it's enough to start with. Please contact me if you want to help out... The roadmap is now to port TComponent (and related classes in TComponent.php), benchmark it and create a 0.1 release.

I'm setting this up with XP SP2 and VC++ Express (the free one). I'll mock up something that can be put on the wiki.

How far did you come with setting up VC++ with the PRADO Extension? It would be nice if we could have the workspace/project files in the repository for Windows users.

It is possible to compile the extension and php using VC++ express edition, however, the compile dll file will be dependent on the MSVCR80.dll file.
It is much easier to compile the extension using VC++ 6.0. The instructions on compiling PHP on windows works quite well.
Knut, could you setup the SVN for the extension respository to use svnserve as well (my proxy only supports HTTP 1.0 and SVN through apache needs HTTP 1.1)

what would be really cool is if you can compile your project into a c extention.
this would be like in flex where the complete project is compiled into an swf file. - there is a compile option to see compilation actionscript files. compiler not available.
this would also be like the gwt toolkit where java source is converted to javascript. - compiler available
-lm
