Hi all, longtime lurker here.

I've found Netbeans (6.1 and later) to be excellent for PHP/MYSQL development.  (If you've been unimpressed in the past, check out 6.x;  Netbeans has improved significantly in recent versions)

I've been developing a Netbeans extension to add support for the Prado framework. (i.e. provide a new project type 'prado' which populates the necessary files as the prado commandline tool would, intellisense/autocomplete for the prado namespace, etc.)

The extension is in the form of a .nbm file (netbeans module)

I plan to submit it to the netbeans plugin portal at http://plugins.netbeans.org when it's complete.

If anyone here is interested in demoing / testing / helping with this let me know and I'll post a link to the current version of the source and/or a compiled .nbm file ready to load in netbeans.

Excellent!  I'm glad to see other Netbeans fans represented here.  I'll get the sources and .nbm uploaded asap.   My time at work is nearly 100% spoken for right now so I'll have to do so from home.  (If I had more spare time I could grab it remotely from my home machine, then move it to some publicly accessible space.)

Time between now (1:55 E.S.T.) and another post here with the download link should not be more than 48 hours.

Hey guys, I've not forgotten about uploading the sources for this module.  I've been busy to an unfortunate extent; I will definitely have time to get everything uploaded tonight.  I'm also putting together some basic documentation.

I apologize for the delay.

Hi,
I'm evaluating NetBeans 6.5 too and I found it very good for prado development; I also made a couple of code templates for auto completation and is very nice, the tags also appears in the "navigator" box..  Smiley

so I'm interested in your extension and let me know if I can help making code templates..  Wink

Giovanni.

Hi guys,
I'm very interested too, I'm currently using netbeans for my prado based project.
Prado auto complete tags would be very useful.
So hoping to hear from you soon.

I'm really very excited with a response that I received from a Member of the SUN NetBeans Teams:

Quotin him: Regarding the PRADO framework, we want to create support for a few frameworks in the next version.
Is not still decided which one, but we talks about this one as well. I can not promise anything,
it depends on the user feedback.

I created one topic on the NetBeans Forums with the purpose of that all us put a reply with our vote a favor
of implement Support for the PRADO Framework on the next Version of NetBeans 6.5!

You can add your vote here (You must registered, only one min):

UPDATED: Just to keep this message in full view of everyone, I've created a new topic on this matter:

OK, sorry everybody for taking so long..

The .nbm file can be found at:
http://www.aaronsanford.com/downloads/org-netbeans-modules-pradoframework3.nbm

Source code is in this archive:
http://www.aaronsanford.com/downloads/pradoframework3_source.zip

Documentation will be maintained at:
http://www.aaronsanford.com/development/netbeans/prado_plugin.php

sonemonu, good find!  It is excellent that the Netbeans team is considering adding prado support!  I've voted over on their forums, and hopefully our activities in creating this iteration of a prado support implementation will help indicate to the Netbeans team that there exists a significant level of interest in the community.

I was just testing the links and it seems like something isn't liking to serve up the .nbm file correctly.  Here is another link to the .nbm file, this time enclosed in a .zip file.  The .nbm is also included in the sources archive.  If anyone has any problems downloading let me know.
